Babies, Toddlers and Fashions - OH MY!

In a little less than 24 hours, I'll be elbows deep in my FIRST EVER on location fashion shoot.  It won't consist of high heels and lipstick.  But, rather toddlers in tennis shoes and a cowboy boot or two.  We are shooting a video commercial for my business, BabyOutfitter Children's Resale www.babyoutfitter.com

Kiera and Her Husband Josh - taken from their website jakfotofilms.com

The concept, courtesy of the lovely and talented Kiera at www.jakfoto.com completely embodies the message we want to send potential and existing customers about the BabyOutfitter brand.  Adorable clothes, affordable prices.  We are hoping it will help customers give second hand a second look.

We met with Kiera Thursday evening over dinner and laughs.  Lots of laughs.  We decided on the concept but wanted to just stew on it for a day or two to be sure.  We made our final decision to go ahead yesterday, after some reassurance from Keira, to jump at the Wednesday slot.  That meant we had less than 48 hours to locate child/baby models, search our inventory for items that we could piece together in entire outfits, find and purchase set props, AND settle on a location.   I love a challenge.

We will also be working also with Amanda Patrice http://amandapatrice.com/.  Keira most affectionately coined her the baby whisperer.  So, not doubt she was perfect for the job.  Amanda will be getting the still shots of the little cuties while Keira does the video footage.  I certainly have an ant or two in my pants...just giddy with excitement for sure.

We viewed jakfoto's portfolio and have fallen completely in love with a band they feature on a few of their projects, Bella Ruse.  You can check out their sound here www.bellaruse.com.  WARNING: their style is infectious and you won't be able to stop smiling.  They have a quirky-cuteness to them that is so undeniably unique.  So, we are hoping they'll be willing to help us out with some fun music to use in the video.

So at this time tomorrow we will be dressing and primping 8 small babies and young children in some adorable fashions and taking ridiculously cute photos of them doing silly things babies and young children do.  I can tell you I have major butterfiles.  I can tell you I'm a little nervous.  What I can't tell you is how insanely excited I am to work with jakfoto, Amanda Patrice AND Bella Ruse on this super fun "little" project.
